Plant and Tissue Culture


Objectives

  • To prepare for employment in plant biotechnology, horticulture and agriculture sectors.
  • To train to launch self-employed ventures in plant tissue culture

  • Anthonians from science stream

Course Highlights

  • Exposure to the basic concepts of Plant Tissue Culture: Cellular totipotency, Culture induced genetic instability, Micropropagation, Accilimatization of in vitro regenerated plants, Conservation of Germplasm and Preservation of Biodiversity
  • Case study of Plant Tissue Culture Industry in India and Abroad
  • Job-oriented hands-on training on the culture methods adopted by industry
  • Training in research projects in areas of conservation of germplasm and in micropropagation of horticulture and medicinal plant species.

Fees

Rs. 5500, payable in two installments. Anthonians:

  • First installemet of Rs. 3500 at the time of admission.
  • Second installment of Rs. 2000(1st week of August.)

There will be a discount of Rs. 200, if the full amount is paid at the time of admission.

  • 3.30 to 5.30pm (Monday through Friday)
