Plant and Tissue Culture
Objectives
To prepare for employment in plant biotechnology, horticulture and agriculture sectors.
To train to launch self-employed ventures in plant tissue culture
Eligibility
- Anthonians from science stream
Course Highlights
- Exposure to the basic concepts of Plant Tissue Culture: Cellular totipotency,
Culture induced genetic instability, Micropropagation, Accilimatization of in vitro regenerated plants,
Conservation of Germplasm and Preservation of Biodiversity
- Case study of Plant Tissue Culture Industry in India and Abroad
- Job-oriented hands-on training on the culture methods adopted by industry
- Training in research projects in areas of conservation of germplasm and in micropropagation
of horticulture and medicinal plant species.
Fees
Rs. 5500, payable in two installments.
Anthonians:
- First installemet of Rs. 3500 at the time of admission.
- Second installment of Rs. 2000(1st week of August.)
There will be a discount of Rs. 200, if the full amount is paid at the time of admission.

- 3.30 to 5.30pm (Monday through Friday)
