UGC Approved Career-Oriented Courses


The objective of the UGC scheme of Career-Orineted courses is to introduce career and market oriented, skill enhancing add-on courses that have unility for job, self-employment and empowerment of the students. St. Anthony's College is the only college offering these courses under NEHU.

In the UGC schme a certificate course consists of 20 credits, each containg 15 hours of class/practical/project work (total of 300 hours). A Diploma course has 40 credits and an Advanced Diploma 60 credits. The focus is on acquiring and enhancing employable skills. Assignments/case studies/practical/ on-the-job training/ project work will be and integral part of the course.

Assessment will be on a continuing basis through tests, seminars, assignments, projects, etc. for each unit of the syllabus. These tests/ assignments and practicals shall be considered as final for these units, without the need of final examination. A student may appear for the final project viva only if he/she has passed in each unit. A minimum of 80% attendance is mandatory.
