The College will conduct Entrance Examination for its
Post-graduate professional courses on 16th June, 2010. The
courses are:
The Entrance Test will be conducted only at the Shillong
center, St. Anthony's College, Shillong. The schedule for the entrance

As the tests for M.Sc (Biotechnology) and MCA are
conducted at different times, a candidate can sit for both these tests.
General Information
Application forms and information brochures for the
Entrance Examination for M.Sc (Biotechnology) and Master of Computer
APplications (MCA) are available from the College office on payment of
Rs 300. The same may also be obtained by post by sending a demand draft
of Rs 375/-*.

The downloaded froms can be submitted in person along with an amount of
Rs 300. The filled in application form may also be send by post
accompanied by a demand draft of Rs 375/-. Please read the details
given in this web page carefully before filling in the form.
* The demand draft should be drawn in favour
of The Principal, St.Anthony's College payable at Shillong.
M.Sc (Biotechnology)
Eligibility: Graduates in any branches of Life
Sciences including Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Zoology, Botany,
Microbiology, Agriculture, Horticulture and Veterinary Science.
Graduates in Chemical Sciences with Botany, Zoology or any other life
science as subsidiary/general subject(s).
Test Content: Students will be tested in the
areas of Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, Genetics,
Microbiology, Immunology, Basic Zoology and Botany, taught at the B.Sc.
level and Chemistry taught at the Higher Secondary Level.
The test will have two sections:

Section A will have 150 multiple choice type questions.

Section B will have 50 fill-in-the Blanks type of questions.

Negative marks will be awarded to incorrect answers.
Selection: Candidates shortlisted based on their
performance in the written test will be called for interview.
The final merit list of candidates will be prepared based on the
marks obtained in written test, interview and B.Sc. degree
examination. Aggregate marks secured in written test and
interview will have 70% weightage and the B.Sc marks will have
30% weightage.
M.C.A
Eligibility:
-
Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in any stream. The candidate
should have passed mathematics or equivalent at the Plus Two
level.

55% in the aggregate (in the honours subject) and
consistently good academic record
Test Content:The test will follow
the objective and/or descriptive pattern of testing. There
will be three sections that the candidates will have to
answer:

Logical & Numerical Aptitude
-
Basic Mathematical Aptitude
-
Mathematics (of Class XII standard) or Computer
Science/Applications (of Degree standard). The
candidates will have option for answering either
the Mathematics or the Computer Science under this
section.

The application form should be
submitted together with the following:

Attested copies of Class X, Class XII and
Graduation marksheets (whichever years are
available).

Two recent, attested, passport size
photographs (one to be affixed in the
application form in the space provided and
another to be submitted separately, along
with the application form).

(Biotechnology) and MCA, three recent,
attested, passport size photographs
