FAEA Recognition

The Foundation for Academic Excellence and Access(FAEA), New Delhi, has selected St. Anthony's College for its program for supporting institutions of excellence. The College is one among the twenty five institutions that the Foundation has selected from among Colleges and Universities in the country. FAEA is supported by the Ford Foundation.

The Foundation for Academic Excellence and Access has been set up with Prof. D P Chattopadhaya as Chairperson. Its Governing Council includes such eminent persons as Prof. V R Mehta, Dr. Abid Hussain, Ms Mohini Giri, Prof. Armaity Desai, Dr. Padmanabhan, Shri Gurucharan Das, Ms. Meenakshi Gopinath and Dr. R A Yadav.

The programme aims at upgradation of facilities in the colleges by creating a partnership between the Foundation and the and host institution. This partnership between the two institutions will help augment the process of identifying students(with social and economic disadvantage) and ensuring that these students get quality education. The selected institutions are expected to make arrangements for the development of skills in Communications, Information Technology, Human Resource and problem solving so that they are able to compete with other meritorious students in terms of equivalence.
